![]() These are the recipes you want to unlock early in the game and design your factory with them in mind. ![]() A is really good, you would use this almost all the time. B is good, you probably will actively want to use this. C is mediocre, sometimes just trading one resource for another, sometimes lots of cons to go with the pros. Tier: I put them in tiers like a true nerd.Name: Name of the alternate recipe (I shortened item names with more than 2 words to use abbreviations. Please feel free to disagree with me! All recipes sourced from Greeny's awesome new tool (and more to come) at There's no great way (that I know of) to post this to reddit as a nice table without tons of work.įirst I'll start with some ground rules and explain some of the Columns but remember this is simply my arbitrary opinion. Here's a picture of some of the recipes from the sheet to get you interested: I know you want them to feel like alternatives and not buffs, but I really like having some that improve factory efficiency outright :) Enjoy! Coffeestain, if you're reading, please don't nerf the good ones. Now I'm back and have done LOTS of math to back up my arbitrary opinions. Last summer I posted my somewhat arbitrary opinions about the alternate recipes before update 1 hit. ![]() So I'm planning on waiting until update 4 releases officially into early access before finalizing the numbers and making a new post. Thank you for your patience!ĮDIT: 3/28/21 -> Don't worry! I am working on the update 4 numbers, however, they change around a lot during experimental. Though if some of the new alternates are at tier 4 or higher, I may just theory-craft to start out, since I might not make it that far in a short amount of time. I will in the future, at some point, though, because it does change the power per item and speed per space requirements for all of the recipes involving packaging.ĮDIT: 3/7/21 -> I am guessing the moment update 4 drops, people will be asking about whether I can update this/make a new one or not! (I'm not sure if the new update will change existing alternate recipes, add new ones, neither of those, or both.) The answer is YES, I will update, but give me some time! Life is busy and I want to be able to play with the new recipes at least a tad before I rank them. I doubt this will majorly change any of my rankings and I'm not currently playing through Satisfactory so I don't plan to change my rankings/calculator at the current moment. This will impact weighted scores as there is a different prevalence of certain resources.ĮDIT: 10/27/20 -> Yes, I see that they have updated liquid packaging to be in a different building. Fewer buildings with high output is better.EDIT: IT'S FINALLY HERE! Update 4 versionĮDIT: Updated as of 2/28 after patch v0.3.2.2ĮDIT: Updated 6/24 -> Node amounts based on this map. So if you do want to go from one manufacturer doing heavy frames to two you don't get that insane chain reaction and snowball effect that standard recepies do. What I like with alts is that it is so much easier to ramp up supply if you increase demand. You'd have to build an ocean of constructors doing iron rods before even considering the screws. Thanks but no thanks.īut if you would go for a build like that standard recepies would be a pita. The current joke (that some players are actually doing) is turbomotors 60/min. ![]() Yes please!Īdding that it all depends on how big you want to go. Now with one refinery: 7.5 steel ingots and 5 plastic spits out 45 iron plates per minute. Now all of the sudden they look really sexy. But as there is the doubling loop that makes those out of 100% fuel and fuel via the diluted fuel route is made out of water rubber and plastic are essentially made from water with crude oil as a trace element. They don't look like much at first glance. Some alts uses petroparts like rubber and plastic. In my current game I have all unlocked with 6 HDD in storage waiting for more content. I love alt recepies so this is the thread for me. ![]()
